What Kind of Schedule Works for You?
Ask ten truck drivers what schedule they prefer and you’ll probably hear a few different answers.
Some drivers like getting an early start, getting their work done, and having the evening at home. Others have worked nights for years and prefer it that way.
Then there are drivers who don’t necessarily want another full-time schedule. Maybe you’ve been driving for a long time, have other things going on, or simply want to cut back on the number of hours you’re working.
That’s why having different shifts available matters. The schedule that works well for one driver might not work at all for another.
Being Home Every Day Changes Things
If you’ve spent much of your career over the road, you don’t need us to explain what being home daily means.
You’re not packing a bag for several days. You’re not figuring out where you’re going to spend the night. And you’re not trying to cram everything you need to do at home into whatever time you have before heading back out.
You finish your work and go home.
For drivers who still enjoy being behind the wheel but are ready to get away from the OTR lifestyle, local work is worth a look.
Never Pulled a Flatbed? That’s Okay.
We know there are experienced CDL-A drivers who see “flatbed” in a job posting and keep scrolling because they’ve never done it before.

Qualified CDL-A drivers don’t need previous flatbed experience for these positions. Beemac Trucking will train qualified drivers.
There are things you’ll need to learn. Securement matters. You’ll work with straps and chains and learn how to properly prepare and secure different types of freight.
It can be an adjustment if you’ve spent your career pulling a dry van or reefer. But it’s also a chance to learn another side of trucking and add flatbed experience to your background.
Pay, Benefits and Employee Ownership
The schedule has to work, but so does the paycheck.
Our Pittsburgh CDL-A company drivers can earn an average of up to $2,000+ per week, depending on the position and work performed. We’re also offering a $4,000 sign-on and retention bonus for qualifying drivers.
Company drivers receive comprehensive health and retirement benefits, and Beemac Trucking is also employee-owned.
